There are three advantages of laminated ID cards:

1.Wear and Scratch-Resistant: Laminated cards’ service life is much longer. Cards will not be scratched by the magnetic reader of swipe card reader to make a better protection from wear and scratch.

2.Fastness: the color cards will be fading after the exposure under the sunshine, and then the information and photos will become vague. After lamination, cards will be carefully protected.

3.High security: holographic anti-counterfeiting lamination enhances the security level of cards,avoiding the potential information- theft.

Please tell us the following issues before the process of manufacturing holographic anti-counterfeiting ribbon:

1: The application fields, industry and end-user.
2: Is it the first to customize holographic anti-counterfeiting ribbon? Or is it has been customized by someone and has been used but now you need to find a new manufacturer?
3: The type of the machine, printer or laminator?
4: Do you have certificate of authorization? All responsible parties owe the signed certificate of authorization. We will not counterfeit nor copy any products.
5: Please predict the annual usage amount of ribbon.
6: The material of cards that holographic ribbon aliped to, PVC or PET.
7: Can you tell us the type of original ribbon as the reference to confirm parameters of ribbon?

Manufacturing steps of holographic ribbon

1: Provide the design manuscript. The best is Illustrator file form.
2: Provide certificate of authorization.
3: We will design mould after the confirmation and the payment of mould fees.
4: Samples will be tested after 30 days.
5: If the test succeed, we can make batch-fabrication.

Magicard laminate all used on Prima4 printer laminator. all the customized hologram ribbon ,also reference the original size.only differnet design .

Datacard laminate most used on SP75 or SP75plus printer ,also used on retransfer printer SR200 and SR300. the SP75 is one old printer ,but quality very good and Wide application.Them can do limate on full card ,magnetic strip card ,contact smart card. that means ,the laminate ribbon have many types.

EDIsecure have two types as following:
EDIsecure Overlay is continuous laminate which covers the entire surface of your cards and is the thinnest laminate option. EDIsecure Overlay is available in clear or holographic, featuring embedded holographic designs that protect cards from tampering and counterfeiting.
EDIsecure Laminate is a patch-style laminate that leaves a small non-laminated border around the edge of the card. PolyGuard Lamination is available in 0.5 mil, 0.6 mil, or 1.0 mil thickness, and in either clear or with embedded holographic designs.
